We're looking for a talented Research Fellow to join our Energy and Artificial Intelligence group and contribute to an industrial collaboration involving Igloo Energy.

Energy and Artificial Intelligence

The Research Fellow will join the Energy and Artificial Intelligence group to contribute to an industrial collaboration involving Igloo Energy funded under the BEIS Smart ENergy Savings (SENS) call. This project aims to utilize Artificial Intelligent learning algorithms trained on customer energy consumption data from a large scale trial to understand which customers can benefit from different energy saving technologies such as smart thermostats.

The Research Fellow will apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning to large sets of energy data, data, develop and deploy AI recommendation algorithms based on reinforcement learning to interact with customers through the Igloo app, build predictive algorithms to forecast energy consumption using machine learning, write manuscripts for publication and present at conferences.

The post has funding until the 31 March 2022 in the first instance.
