We are sorry to hear about the passing of Lady Barbara Judge on 1st September aged 73 from pancreatic cancer.  Lady Barbara Judge held the role of Chair of the UCL Energy Institute and UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources International Advisory Board for nearly 10 years.  Her knowledge and experience was invaluable in helping both institutes to grow and break new ground.

Professor Tadj Oreszczyn, former Director of The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources and the UCL Energy Institute paid tribute:

“Lady Barbara Judge brought together and chaired a world leading International Advisory Board which supported the foundation and development of the UCL Energy Institute, and subsequently other Institutes at UCL. She generously gave both her time and energy, and was always committed to supporting and mentoring individuals particularly women in science and engineering.”

Lady Barbara Judge produced a video to increase awareness of pancreatic cancer. By sharing her story, she hopes to raise awareness and funding for medical research.
