11 February 2014

LoLo 2014 launch

UCL-Energy and Loughborough University staff and students were joined by board members, partners and supporters on 31st January to celebrate the renewal of the London Loughborough Centre for Doctoral Training (LoLo CDT).

During the event, held at Senate House, University of London, the vision to transform both this sector's research culture and the way UK buildings use energy was reiterated, along with speeches from Professor Bob Lowe of UCL-Energy and Professor Kevin Lomas of Loughborough University, the joint Directors of the CDT.

Professor Lowe said: “Our original intention was to attract the best science and engineering graduates into this very important problem area. In my opinion, we have done that. Not all of our students are STEM graduates, but collectively and individually they all are among the brightest people I have met working in this area and are a pleasure to work with and learn from.”
