Research summary

Dr Nishatabbas Rehmatulla is a Senior Researcher at the University College London (UCL) Energy Institute. Nishatabbas uses social research methods to continue his research interests in implementation of energy efficiency measures, zero emission fuels/technologies and barriers to their uptake, as well as exploring solutions, including policies and finance to accelerate transitions to a low carbon industry. As well as being involved in the various projects, he is also responsible for the management of various grant funded and consultancy projects related to shipping and GHG emissions. He gained his PhD in Energy and Transport (Market failures and barriers affecting energy efficient operations in shipping) from UCL in 2014, has an MSc in Energy, Trade & Finance and BSc in Management, both from Cass Business School, City University.

Biography

Nishatabbas is a Senior Research Fellow at the University College London (UCL) Energy Institute, Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources. He gained his PhD in Energy and Transport - Market failures and barriers affecting energy efficient operations in shipping - from UCL in 2014. He has a BSc in Management and an MSc in Energy, Trade & Finance, both from Cass Business School, City University, London, UK.
