This project focuses on a timely, crucial theme and an urgent humanitarian case: the case of Gaza.

Gaza

29 July 2019

This project focuses on a timely, crucial theme and an urgent humanitarian case: the case of Gaza.

As indicated lately in the Lancet, the Gaza Strip has been under land, sea, and air blockade for over a decade. Its health system has experienced de-development and suffers from shortages of essential medicines and supplies” (Horton, 2018: 1612). Consequently, this project will critically study the interrelationships between violence, space and health in Gaza, aiming to bring two scientific fields, namely urban health and conflict studies into conversation.
