Working as a coordinated network offering grassroots legal education and legal aid services to the most marginalized urban populations, Justice and Empowerment Initiative's (JEI) community paralegal network helps to bridge the access to justice and access to information gaps that slum populations face, while supporting direct engagement with local and state governments to set a pro-poor policy agenda. Join JEI Co-Director Andrew Maki, at UCL's Development Planning Unit on 4 October 2018 at 5pm at Room 101 for a short presentation and Q & A about the power of legal empowerment to transform the realities of the urban poor in Nigerian cities.
