Diana´s background is in Ecology and later graduated from the MSc Environment and Sustainable Development at UCL. She has several years of experience facilitating multi-stakeholder projects in conservation, sustainability and education in various Colombian cities and in London. Her last job in Colombia was working for National Parks, where she formulated and implemented the social participation and environmental education strategy for Chingaza National Park.
Recently, in Groundwork London, she worked with diverse communities across London managing projects on community integration, urban regeneration, community gardens and biodiversity; she also researched on social housing and the environment using oral history.
Her research interests include the concept of security and the strategies developed by social organisations to resist in areas of armed conflict. She volunteers with activist groups supporting struggles for environmental justice in the global south.
