Andrew Knight

Andrew is a recipient of the DPU60 PhD scholarship, covering full fees, a monthly stipend for three years and fieldwork travel.

Andrew has been working in the humanitarian sector for more than fifteen years in countries across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Working primarily in emergency response in conflict-induced displacement crises, Andrew has sectoral experience in protection, community services, livelihoods, shelter, camp management and camp coordination in both camp and urban settings. He has extensive experience in programme and operations management including large complex multi-donor programmes. With an academic background in international relations, he is currently researching issues surrounding humanitarianism, displaced populations and host communities.

Andrew also sits on the Steering Committee of Stadtkolloquium, a student-led interdisciplinary academic forum associated with the UCL Urban Laboratory.
