Transportation guidance

Here are some suggestions on how to travel from different airports to central train stations to connect to London.

From Heathrow

  • Heathrow Express: This is a high-frequency airport rail link operating between London Heathrow Airport and London Paddington. You can easily access London Paddington station within 15 minutes.
More details can be found here.
  • London Underground: Heathrow has three London Underground stations – one for Terminals 2 and 3 and one each at Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.
Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 station is between the terminals, which are a few minutes' walk away via pedestrian subway. Heathrow Terminal 4 Underground station is accessible via lifts or stairs on Level -1. Heathrow Terminal 5 Underground station is in the basement of the terminal building.
More details can be found here.
  • Elizabeth line: London’s newest rail line can get you from Heathrow to central London in under 45 minutes, with trains every 30 minutes.
More details can be found here.

From London City Airport

  • London Underground: London City Airport is connected to the London Underground network. The airport has its own stop on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), which connects to Canning Town, Stratford and Bank stations. Services run every eight to 15 minutes.
