‘The Time is now’ Progressive assurance on Major Complex Infrastructure Projects and Programmes
When it comes to major infrastructure programme delivery, the UK is unique in many ways, notably in our governance structures, integration between sponsors and clients, and delivery authorities. The role of delivery partners and supply chain is also key to success and having an effective assurance framework that is fit for purpose and clearly understood is important.
Assurance provides confidence in delivery and that is exactly what every client wants for their projects. We need to get better at being clear on what type of assurance we are delivering – is it support to delivery teams or is it information to enable executive decision making? Furthermore, it is essential that a culture of assurance is instilled from the top; board level buy-in is a fundamental requirement.
Sue will be exploring how we need to keep working together to better understand how assurance can be embraced and how we can get the message across that assurance is an enabler not a distraction.
Details on how to access this online event will be provided prior to the event.
A recording of the lecture will be available to watch online after the live event.
