The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management

How we work

The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management typically works in one of three ways with businesses and other organisations to grant access to our expertise.

Knowledge Transfer Partnership

A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) allows companies to employ an Associate and have dedicated time from a C&PM academic to work on a specific project that is of critical concern to the organisation.

All parties benefit from the transfer of knowledge: the organisation gains the benefit of focused attention on a project that is of concern to them, and both the Associate and our academics gain insight into a live project that enriches and teaching and research.

Commissioned research

Commissioned research can be carried out by the school, often in the form of an externally-funded project that investigates agreed subjects of shared interest

Teaching and training collaborations

Teaching and training collaborations involve either industry experts contributing their knowledge to our teaching programmes, or the design of teaching and training programmes here at UCL or off-campus for external groups.
