Stephan is carrying out research on open data and open infrastructure. Specifically, whether open data and open infrastructure can have a positive impact on policy, sustainability, well-being, and cross-cultural interaction within a city.


Stephan holds a degree in English literature from Trinity College Dublin, and an MA in digital humanities from UCL, where his dissertation focused on the sustainability and preservation of JISC– and AHRC–funded digital humanities projects.
