Thesis title: Link between inequality and the multifractality of urban measures

Primary supervisor: Dr. Elsa Arcaute
Secondary supervisor: Prof. Michael Batty
Starting date: May, 2015
Projected completion date: May, 2018

After studying Applied Mathematics at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Cachan, I completed a Master in Pure Mathematics at Université Paris Diderot in 2014 with a focus on simplicial, fractal and symplectic geometries.

I am interested in the mathematical aspects of multifractal modelling in cities. More precisely, I will study how inequality translates into multifractality for different urban measures and, reciprocally, what useful information can be extracted from the shapes of multifractal spectra.
