CASA PhD candidate wins The Bartlett 2016 Photography Competition prizes

Nicolas Palominos is the recipient of the second prize in both the Camera and Phone categories of the 2016 Photography Competition held by The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management.
Nicolas, a PhD candidate at CASA, took the images in Porto and London. In the first photograph, the Rabelo boats in Porto docks show the various technological systems and scales that create the image of the city. In the second photograph, the boy looking out over the Thames illustrates our instinctive fascination for looking from above and reminds us to aim for citizen-centered infrastructure. Nicholas said, “Aerial views of cities fascinate all ages. They can even be a pedagogic experience."
