New for 2022/2023, the MSc / MRes Urban Spatial Science programmes explore the theoretical, social and scientific foundations of the modern built environment through a geo-spatial, data-oriented lens. The new MSc / MRes Urban Spatial Science replaces the previous CASA MSc programmes, Smart Cities and Urban Analytics and Spatial Data Science and Visualisation.

These programmes equip students with a multi-disciplinary perspective on understanding, monitoring and improving global urban resilience and sustainability. We cultivate practical skills in urban analytics and data-driven decision making, including: mathematical, statistical and simulation modelling, computer programming, spatial analysis and visualisation. These techniques are underpinned by theoretical perspectives on urban science, from disciplines such as demographics, economics, complexity, governance and planning.

Graduates of MSc / MRes Urban Spatial Science will enter the workplace with the skills to succeed in areas such as Data Science, Smart Cities, Urban Modelling and Urban Analytics.

If this sounds like the programme for you, and you would like to learn more, please register for this online event. We look forward to meeting you.
