In this session, we will explore the capabilities of the Google Maps Platform and the Google Maps JS API. We will see how we can use the API to not only create simple maps with markers, but also how to visualise our spatial data. Then, we will see how we can extract information from the map, like elevation, distance, or directions information. All that, simply and effectively!

Google Developer Expert, Software Engineer at Angular/Web Technologies/Google Maps/This Dot

Katerina is a CASA alumna, a Google Developer Expert for Angular, Web Technologies and the Google Maps Platform, and a software engineer at This Dot. She likes to mix and match web technologies - especially with maps and spatial data - and open sources her code for the general good. She is an active member of the global web developer community, speaking at international conferences and running (together with a bunch of cool people) the Angular Athens meetup. She is also involved with supporting diversity in tech. She is indigenous to the internet, and she lives with her Maine Coon in Athens, Greece.
