With the ever increasing pace of innovation in technologies related to the monitoring, understanding and control of cities has come the quest to make “digital twins” of our cities. Jeremy's talk will explore a range of these technologies from the scale of a room through neighbourhoods and regions to the nation, and explore some of the issues in integrating information and crossing scales and domains. As part of this, Jeremy will reflect on the role of national mapping in this information landscape, and how Ordnance Survey’s research programme supports change.
