With record high house prices and unaffordable rents, London is at the centre of the UK’s housing crisis. The capital’s housing market faces considerable challenges. New supply is predominately focussed at the top-end of the market, now under pressure from higher taxes and weaker overseas demand. Meanwhile growing numbers of people, including children, are living in over-crowded, poor quality, insecure housing. With an uncertain future due to Brexit, Neal will discuss how he uses data, visualisations, and mapping to research, analyse and understand the London housing market.
