Bartlett Summer Schools 2019

**Applications open for our 2019 Summer Schools in November**

Summer School 2017 at The Bartlett School of Architecture

About

The Bartlett Summer Schools are an opportunity for 16- to 18-year-olds to explore imaginative thinking, surveying, speculation and construction for the first time, using the school's outstanding workshops and facilities.

Welcoming particpants from all over the world, students work individually and collaboratively to produce drawings, objects, models and larger installations, under the guidance of The Bartlett’s skilled and experienced tutors.

The courses are taught through a series of small group and individual tutorials, finishing with a joint one-day exhibition of work. A private view will give staff, students and their guests a chance to celebrate the work produced during the course. A Certificate of Study will be awarded on the day (please note, this programme is not an accredited course).

Over the past nine years, students have developed and presented projects in different media, such as installation pieces, single drawing, walking models, books and performing apparatus.

I would recommend the Summer School because it really gives you an insight into what it's like to study architecture and it also helps you develop new skills
