Bartlett Summer School 2018

**Applications for our 2018 Summer School have now closed**

Summer School 2017 at The Bartlett School of Architecture

About the course

The Bartlett Summer School is an opportunity for 16- to 18-year-olds to explore imaginative thinking, surveying, speculation and construction for the first time, using our outstanding workshops and facilities.

Welcoming particpants from all over the world, students work individually and collaboratively to produce drawings, objects, models and larger installations, under the guidance of The Bartlett’s skilled and experienced tutors.

The course is taught through a series of small group and individual tutorials, finishing with a joint one-day exhibition of work. A private view will give staff, students and their guests a chance to celebrate the work produced during the course. A Certificate of Study will be awarded on the day (this programme is not an accredited course).

Over the past eight years, students have developed and presented projects in different media, such as installation pieces, single drawing, walking models, books and performing apparatus.

I would recommend the Summer School because it really gives you an insight into what it's like to study architecture and it also helps you develop new skills

Parin Nawachartkosit, Summer School 2017 student

The course is packed with exciting trips, hours of drawing and prepping for presentations with people from all over the world. I had a brilliant time and it has definitely made my decision about whether architecture is the right path for me a lot easier

Hannah Slater, Summer School 2017 student

Scholarships
