Our alumni go on to a diverse range of destinations, not just within the built environment.
Bartlett School of Architecture alumni go on to professions including not just architecture, but design, manufacturing, education and research, curating, urban planning, governance and policymaking, filmmaking and more.
Many alumni start their own businesses and practices. Our best-known alumni architecture practices include Stirling Prize winners Allford, Hall, Monaghan, Morris (AHMM), whose four partners met at The Bartlett; FAT Architecture; and Farshid Moussavi.

Bartlett alumni occupy senior positions at leading firms such as Foster + Partners, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, and Populous. Emerging practices include Asif Khan, Haptic, We Made That, You+Pea and FleaFolly Architects.
Several graduates have set up award-winning businesses. These range from ScanLAB, an innovative 3D scanning studio to Bio Bean, a clean technology company producing ecofuel from waste coffee grounds. Others have gone on to roles within large cultural organisations, such as Beatrice Galilee and Rosalie Kim, curators at the Metropolitan Museum in New York and London’s V&A respectively.
Past alumni include notable figures of 20th century architecture such as Richard McCormac, Hugh and Margaret Casson, Colin St John Wilson, the architectural historian Joseph Rykwert and Hollywood movie production designer Ken Adam.
You can also read more about our alumni in a special publication produced in 2016 for our 175th anniversary.
We organise several annual alumni activities, including the R&V Alumni Dinner, an event begun over 60 years ago by a group of Bartlett alumni calling themselves ‘the Rogues and Vagabonds’. The R&V is chaired by Paul Monaghan, Director at AHMM. Alumni are also invited to our exhibitions and events throughout the year.
