30 April 2013

Summer Foundation Flyer 2013

The Bartlett School of Architecture’s Summer Foundation course, starting on 29th July 2013, is now open for applications. The programme, which can be studied over a 5-week or an 8-week period, is designed to prepare students for a future career in architecture and architectural education.

This year, students will investigate London’s transformation within the prevailing economic climate, and develop ideas to promote and celebrate a diverse and sustainable future environment.

Summer Foundation tutor, Carlos Jimenez, says: “The programme will provide students with a unique creative platform to improve their design skills and to acquire new ones through experimentation and fabrication...”

He adds: "This Summer Foundation experience will allow each student to develop their conceptual and critical thinking as well as a consistent design ethos within a playful and enjoyable atmosphere.”

The course welcomes a wide range of participants, of varying ages and differing backgrounds, including prospective Bartlett students, international students, secondary school students and those who have a career change in mind and want to use it as a test bed to see if they are suited to a university degree in architecture.

Application deadline: 31st May 2013
