Emma Flynn is BD 'Class of 2012' winner

Congratulations to Bartlett School of Architecture MArch Unit 11 student Emma Flynn who has won the Building Design (BD) Architect of the Year Award for her project 'Trash Can Eutopias'.
Each year, BD asks every architecture school in the country to nominate its best graduating diploma student for consideration for the annual ‘Class of’ award. BD received 25 entries from across the UK, from which the six students were selected for the Class of 2012 with Emma Flynn being crowned the overall winner. Her prize is a year-long scholarship for a master’s business programme at the IE School of Architecture & Design in Madrid.
The jury comprised a range of architects, academics and critics: Cany Ash, director of Ash Sakula; Peter Carl, professor at London Metropolitan University; Kester Rattenbury, tutor and reader at the University of Westminster; and Juan Lago-Novás Domingo, director of the master’s in Architectural Management and Design IE School of Architecture in Madrid.
