At the core of this highly collaborative programme is the belief that the creation of spaces for performance, and the creation of performances within them, are symbiotic activities. The work engages with themes including multi-user interaction; augmented reality; the animation of environments using robotics and machine learning techniques.
Archives of Vision
An interactive installation by Irem Bugdayci, Anne-Heloise Dautel and Robert Wuss. Eye-tracking and robotics reveal spatial vision as a dynamic archive of human and machinic perception.
Venus Smiles
A sound sculpture by Tabita Cargnel inviting collaborative performance. Visitors use copper tubes tuned to the room’s acoustics to create immersive, resonant sound through movement and voice.
Lumina
A modular light installation by Claudia Cortes Herrera and Danniella Vizcarra Barra. Movement shapes light and space, inviting users to explore sensory boundaries and embodied experience.
I.F.L.Y.
An open-source flying robot by Qiuyan Da and Jingcheng Xie. Each drone forms unique behaviours and emotional bonds, shaping a virtual 3D sculpture from human-robot interactions in real time.
AAR: Augmented Acoustic Realities
An installation by Qianhua Fu visualising sound propagation in space. Using acoustic analysis and VR, it reveals how sound interacts with architecture, demonstrated through the Philips Pavilion.
CuGo
An interactive board game by Peng Gao and Kongpyung Moon where humans and robots collaborate to stack blocks. Players learn robot logic while robots adapt and develop unique movement styles.
In Rhythmic Fragments
A kinetic installation by Saria Ghaziri and Dalia Todary-Michael. Biophilic automata respond to movement, evoking memory and awareness of our connection to natural rhythms and space.
Sounds and Sweet Airs
An immersive sound ecology by Kornbongkoch Harnpinijsak, Nong Hua Lim and Weichen Tang. Mechanical creatures respond to the environment, creating evolving soundscapes from recycled materials.
Enclothed Cymatics
A sensory installation by Marina Ieridou, Austera Premakara and Arum Winarso. Water, light and sound reveal the environmental impact of fashion through immersive, wearable interactions.
Élan Vital
An interactive light installation by Reuben Jacob and Quy Phung Ta. Using motion data and ray marching, spatial light artefacts respond to human presence, revealing invisible life forces in space.
The Hanged Man
A robotic interface by Shodai Kayama that animates retail clothing through human interaction. Using motion-responsive hangers, brands can tell stories and engage shoppers in new ways.
Light Memory
An interactive light installation by Jung Lim. Real-time motion data creates light-based body representations, layering past movements to explore memory, identity and self-presence in public space.
Interpolate
An interactive performance by Angelina Papachatzaki using wearable tech and pneumatics. Movement and touch are shared between dancer and audience, exploring empathy through remote sensation.
Present Revisit
An interactive light sculpture by Wen Wen. A floating ellipse responds to gesture, visualising planetary time and atomic motion while evoking cosmic space and future spacetime exploration.
In Between
A kinetic light sculpture by Shu Xin Wong exploring cultural liminality. Rotating masks and lights project Malaysian and London textures, reflecting layered identities and belonging.
MSTERMND
An interactive logic game by Alexandra Yagliowich. Players use sound, light and movement to solve sequences, enhancing memory and perception through multi-sensory, embodied gameplay.
Atemporal Memory
A VR installation by Soohyeon Kang exploring time as an interactive substance. Users manipulate volumetric recordings to experience memory, movement and non-linear time in virtual space.
