Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this event is being postponed and will no longer be taking place tomorrow.

The event organisers will be in touch with all participants to reschedule the launch for a later date.

The Bartlett Design Research Folios is an architectural publication that provides Bartlett designers, practitioners and scholars with a platform to convey, in book form, the purpose and process of design research in their work. Each folio presents a visual and textual narrative of a specific project, unpacking its ideas and deeper layers of context, its methods and experimentation, and some of its dissemination.

The new collection of folios features projects produced between 2015 and 2021 and adds 28 books to the existing series which covers works from 2008–2014, extending the overall publication to 66 folios to date.

Gradually, the folios form an evolving and time-sensitive atlas of design research projects at The Bartlett, building up a collection of works that extend their influence to fields of design thought and practice beyond the academic sphere and directly impact on the experienced world. The developing collection of folios is also archived at the Design Research Folios website.

The virtual launch event will include author presentations and contributions by a panel of invited respondents. It will be chaired by the founder and lead editor of the series Professor Yeoryia Manolopoulou.
