About this series

Performance Interactions is a weekly lecture series that focuses on robotics, machine learning and curation. Lectures take place every Monday.

This series is organised by Ruairi Glynn, Programme Director of Design for Performance & Interaction MArch.

Speaker biography

Matt Wade co-founded London-based research and design studio Kin, and was previously a director at Google Creative Lab. 

Over the years he has worked with many international clients including YouTube, Nike, Jet Propulsion Lab (NASA), Microsoft, LGBT Center New York, London Science Museum and the Maritime Museum. 

Now based in Moving Brands’ New York studio, his role involves leading three key areas within the business: 

  • ‘Interactive Spaces’, focusing on using technology to create dynamic living spaces 
  • ‘New Design Realities’, creating experiences for emerging technology platforms, such as mixed reality and augmented reality
  • ‘Gobi’, a team that uses prototyping as a way of defining the products and services of tomorrow.
