B-made's teaching activities
B-made offers workshop skill development through its teaching request program. B-made can support, tailor and develop workshop teaching to specific and relevant objectives.
B-made’s teaching activities
In addition to supporting drop-in workshop access, B-made’s teaching request scheme helps students to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to support their learning and research. In collaboration with academic staff, B-made can support, tailor and develop workshop-based teaching from learning objectives.
Term 1 focus
To ensure a balanced approach between general access, inductions, and exhibitions, B-made prioritises group teaching events for first-year students enrolled on multi-year programmes. This includes:
- Architecture BSc
- Architecture MSci
- Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies BSc
- Engineering and Architectural Design MEng
Expanded support for Year 2+ and postgraduate students is available via bookable process tutorials.
Targeted exceptions
Specialised teaching will also be supported via skills coordinators for:
- Design for Manufacture (DfM) MArch skills sessions
- 3D Scanning and 3D Printing workshops
Term 2 and Term 3 expansion
As operational pressure eases after Term 1, Term 2 teaching capacity increases, allowing broader support for:
- Year 2 and above (multi-year programmes)
- All remaining programmes
