Fellow of the American Physical Society

Professor Hiranya Peiris

Many congratulations to Prof. Hiranya Peiris who has been elected Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS).

This is a very prestigious recognition of Hiranya's outstanding contributions to physics. In particular, Hiranya has been elected for her significant contributions to the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe project, Planck analyses, and the application of advanced statistical techniques to a wide range of astronomical data.
