Our career journeys
Following the success of Astrea’s ‘Invest to Progress’ 2024 conference, we received encouraging feedback from our Astrea network members, who expressed a keen interest in hearing more from the wider UCL community about the varied career journeys women experience.
Career paths are rarely linear, and navigating them can often be challenging. Not all journeys come with a clear, straight trajectory. Taking the risk to make a sideways move or pivot into a new area of work can feel daunting, but it can also lead to significant rewards and, in many cases, open doors to new and unexpected opportunities.
As the New Year unfolds, many of us reflect on our work goals and aspirations. We hope our Astrea network members will find inspiration from the brilliant women who have shared their career journeys with us.
