An Alumni Perspective:
"The two year IMESS programme allowed me to benefit both from the expertise of SSEES, and to study and work in Moscow. The year at HSE Moscow, during which time I interned at the Levada Centre and the Moscow times, was invaluable for gaining first hand knowledge of the post-soviet space. The academic and professional experience I gained on the IMESS programme were invaluable in helping me to build a career and I have since joined the National Endowment for Democracy where I focus on civil society in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. I have no doubt that I would not have this position were it not for my MA from SSEES." Emily Couch - IMESS 2017-2019
