Masters and PhD Programmes
Investigators in the Centre supervise PhD students and teach courses in 3 MA degrees:

- Politics and Economics of Eastern Europe MRes
Students may also wish to consider our International Masters in Economy, State and Society (IMESS) which has tracks in:

PhD Programme
For students who haven’t already completed studies equivalent to a UK Masters’ degree, it is advised to apply to one either the MA Comparative Economics and Policy or the MA Comparative Business Economics, as these provide natural entry points into the PhD programme.

My research interests lie in the fields of public debt sustainability and fiscal policy in emerging market economies, from a political economy perspective.
Clément De Rivas
My research focuses on global value chains and technological upgrading in Eastern European and Former Soviet countries.
Saim Amir Faisal Sami
Working Title of Thesis: Financial Integration, Financial Vulnerability, and Macroeconomic Performance in Transition, Emerging and Developing Economies.
Imogen Wade
My thesis examines the governance of innovation in regions of Russia. My broader research interests include comparative innovation systems, institutional economics, industrial strategy, technological development and federalism.
