Dr Ella Rossman, former SSEES PhD student, has been selected as the winner of the 2025 Arts and Humanities Quirk PhD Prize. This prize consists of a £1,000 award, plus recognition as a Quirk Scholar through invitation to the Quirk Symposium.
Ella completed her PhD thesis at UCL SSEES in 2025. She is currently working on a four-year new project, “Feminist Alternatives: Counter-Epistemologies and Knowledge Production in Late Soviet and Post-Soviet Russian Feminist Thought (979-2022)” at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO).
