  • Luke Fenton-Glynn

Luke was a fantastic philosopher and teacher, and a lovely man. He taught in our department from 2013 until 2023, when he left for Monash University.

Luke worked in the philosophy of science, metaphysics, and epistemology, with a focus on causation, probability, peer disagreement, and opinion aggregation. He studied PPE at Oxford, followed by a BPhil and then a DPhil in Philosophy. Before coming to UCL, he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Konstanz, the California Institute of Technology, and the Munich Centre for Mathematical Philosophy. His book, Causation, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2021.

Our thoughts are with Luke’s family and friends.
