Fallon himself shared the synopsis of Perrin’s novel during the selection process: “This is also a debut. A teenage girl named Frances visits a fortune teller who makes a chilling prediction: One day she will be murdered,” Fallon read. “Frances spends a lifetime trying to solve a crime that hasn’t happened yet.”
Despite the competition amongst 16 titles, Perrin’s work resonated with many readers, earning it a well-deserved place in the final. However, it was Tracy Sierra’s ‘Nightwatching’ that won by 2000 votes. The competition gathered around 800,000 votes in total.
Congratulations to Kristen Perrin for achieving a spot in the final two. Read more about the Jimmy Fallon Book Club’s final two books here.
