The research centre explores how knowledge is categorised, classified and organised, including the systems built to organise knowledge (KOSs) and the conceptual ideas and theoretical discourse around knowledge organisation. While part of information studies, CeKOR positions knowledge organisation as a subdiscipline that is truly interdisciplinary in its inquiries and its conceptual reach.
