Simcha Gross, PhD (Yale, 2017), specializes in ancient Jewish history, rabbinic literature in Persian/Islamic contexts, and Syriac Christianity. His work explores Sasanian imperialism’s impact on Babylonian Jews. He co-authored The History of the 'Slave of Christ and edited Jews and Syriac Christians. He teaches at Penn and previously taught at UC Irvine and Stanford.
