Trumping Eastern Europe: Repercussions of the US elections

is Professor of Ukrainian Studies at UCL SSEES. Prof Wilson has worked extensively on the comparative politics of the post-Soviet states since 1990. His latest book Political Technology: The Globalisation of Political Manipulation (Cambridge University Press) was published in 2024.

is Professor of Political Economy and Finance at UCL SSEES. She completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at Fudan University in Shanghai and obtained her PhD in economics from the University of Leuven. She is a Fellow of the CESifo Research Network. She was an Associate Research Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies (Brussels) and served as a Member of the Monetary Experts Panel for the European Parliament. She was a Visiting Fellow at the European Institute at LSE.

is Associate Professor in Comparative Central and East European Politics at UCL SSEES. He studied Russian and French at the University of Leeds and worked in Russia and the Czech Republic before returning to the UK to complete a Masters in Social Science and a PhD at the University of Birmingham. He joined UCL SSEES in 2003 having previously worked as Lecturer in Politics at Brunel University, West London.

is Professor of Political and Cultural Sociology at UCL SSEES. He has taught at universities across Europe and North America. His publications include the books The Culture of Power in Serbia: Nationalism and the Destruction of Alternatives (Pennsylvania State University Press, 1999) and Guilt, Responsibility and Denial: The Past at Stake in Post-Milošević Serbia (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2013). He holds a BA from Swarthmore College and an MA and PhD from the University of California at Berkeley.

is a Lecturer in Political Sociology at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at University College London with a focus on Southeast and Central Europe. She is also the co-director of the research centre for the study of Places, Identities and Memories (PIMs). She holds a DPhil in Politics from the University of Oxford.

is Senior Lecturer in Post-Soviet Security at the Department of War Studies, King's College London. She joined the department after completing a PhD in Government and an MA in International Relations in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. Before this, she worked in HM Treasury in areas including UK policy towards the International Financial Institutions and the development of the Private Finance Initiative. Her first degree was in English Language and Literature (University of Oxford) and her first MA was in English and European Renaissance Drama (University of Warwick). Her current research focuses on Russian foreign policy, particularly towards the post-Soviet space, and on the post-Cold war relationship between the USA and Russia.
