We are delighted to welcome the theatre director Iqbal Khan, whose radical and revelatory productions for the RSC have been widely acclaimed. They include Much Ado About Nothing transposed to contemporary Delhi, Othello with a black Iago, Antony and Cleopatra with a black Cleopatra, and Molière’s Tartuffe relocated in the Pakistani-Muslim community in Birmingham.
Iqbal will discuss his work with a panel from UCL English Department (Helen Hackett and James Waddell), and will take questions from the audience.
The talk will be followed by drinks and a chance for informal discussion. All welcome but please register to attend.
