Disability and Neurodivergence Equity
UCL Arts & Humanities work with student support to remove barriers to access due to disability and are committed to creating inclusive learning and working environments for all.
Support for Disabled Students
The above video introduces the social model of disability that informs UCL's Disability, Mental Health and Wellbeing Team and outlines the support available. More information on accessing these services can be found on the student support website.
Training on inclusion of disabled and neurodivergent people
This free course developed by the Faculty of Engineering EDI Team aims to improve awareness and equip learners with strategies to be more inclusive and proactive allies of disabled and neurodivergent colleagues. The content is co-produced and shares knowledge to form a foundation for inclusive attitudes and behaviours that value disabled and neurodivergent people and accommodates preferred ways of working and reasonable adjustments.
D/deaf awareness online course
This short online course run by DCAL (Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre) will help you understand the variety of types of hearing loss and how to work and communicate well with D/deaf people. The course is available at a reduced rate for UCL staff.
