Postdoctoral Research Opportunities

There are several opportunities for postdoctoral researchers to join the Department. Below is information about some of the main routes for postdoc fellowships, although there are many alternative sources of funding so do be in touch if you are considering making an application.

British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship

The British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship is a three year award made to an annual cohort of outstanding early career researchers in the humanities or social sciences.

Information about the scheme can be found on the BA website: https://www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk/funding/postdoctoral-fellowships/

Applicants should work up their applications with their proposed mentor and consult with the Research Director, Professor Tamar Garb, prior to submitting a draft of their application for the deadline. Applicants should apply using the British Academy's Flexi-Grant system and generate a pdf of the draft application to send to Eleanor Day, Departmental Manager (e.day@ucl.ac.uk) by Sunday 11th September 2022.

Following review by the Department's internal review panel, selected candidates will then be supported through the application process by the Department and UCL.
