The History of Art Alumni Studentship is offered to an outstanding research student with a topic of particularly outstanding potential who aims to pursue an academic career. The studentship normally covers UCL tuition fees at the Home/ EU rate. It lasts for three years, must be held full time and can be held in conjunction with other scholarships.
How to apply
Home/EU candidates who wish to be considered for departmental funding should first apply to the AHRC scholarships via LAHP and later for the History of Art Alumni Studentship. The decisions over the departmental studentship will be taken after we have learned about the outcome of the LAHP studentship competition.
Students wishing to be considered for the departmental studentship should submit the following materials:
- A copy of your research proposal (c 1500 words). This may be the same proposal submitted with the application for the programme, or an updated version
- An updated CV
- An informal letter indicating why you wish to be considered for the scholarship.
You must declare any other sources of funding to which you have also applied.
Applications should be submitted by April 2019 - date tbc. Applications received after this deadline cannot be considered. Any queries should be addressed to the Department's Research Tutor, Mechthild Fend.
Materials should be submitted in hard copy or as pdf document (please collate all materials in one file) to Lauren Sperring in the departmental office.
