Archaeology of Ancient Egypt

ARCL2012

The aim of the module is to provide a problem-driven historical overview and an introduction to major research topics in Egyptian Archaeology.

Term I is used to explore key periods and sites from the Palaeolithic, through the Pharaonic period up to the Medieval era. Classes in Term II discuss a range of core themes, introducing current research as well as methodological and theoretical issues debated in Egyptian Archaeology.
