Wood Use in the Terracotta Army Pits and Mausoleum of China’s First Emperor

The research programme focuses on wood remains in the mausoleum of China’s First Emperor. Wood selection, wood use and wood sources will be explored to provide evidence for further understanding of imperial resource extraction of Qin dynasty, and to contribute to the archaeological research of empire and environment which focuses on the relationship between human-environment interactions and political power.
