  • Processes paperwork for all Graduate Programme admissions (both taught and research) from initial queries through to processing applications forms
  • Provides information on the admission procedure, issues welcome letters, and collates information to assess viability of options
  • Answers queries on fees, accommodation, visas and setting up bank accounts
  • Processes paperwork for all research students.  This includes queries regarding interruption, study leave, CRS status and submission

  • Organises and administers the MA Museum Studies Museum Placements (with course tutor)
  • Organises the UCL Taster Days (with the UCL Widening Participation officer), UCL Summer Challenge and a summer taster excavation (in conjunction with Gabriel Moshenska and the Museum of London)
  • Works on the Festival of World Archaeology (in conjunction with Collections Manager and the Executive Assistant to the Director)
  • Organises the departmental activities for the UCL and ULU open days
  • Liaises with the Alumni Department in organising events for IoA alumni
  • First point of contact for current students regarding the status of their fieldwork course requirement, updating and maintaining fieldwork database, processing student fieldwork grant applications and compiling and distributing the fieldwork bulletin
  • Updates and helps to maintain the Undergraduate, fieldwork and careers sections of the IoA website
  • Careers Tutor: co-ordinates Careers Advice sessions and organises Career Days
  • Secretary to the Fieldwork Sub-Committee, Library Committee and  the Communications Committee
  • Arranges and administers MA in Museum Studies placements
  • E-Learning Champion and departmental contact and administrator for all Moodle courses and MyPortfolio
  • Public Engagement Champion and runs the IoA social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and LinkedIn (for Museum Studies)
  • One of the IoA Green Champions (with the Facilities Manager) and runs the IoA Green Facebook page
  • Visits schools and colleges throughout the year (with the Collections Manager) as part of IoA Outreach and recruitment

Timea Grego - Laboratory, Facilities and Fieldwork Technician

Timea Grego
  • Provides technical support for the IoA Conservation, Geoarchaeology and Micromorphology laboratories
  • Manages and monitors the laboratory equipment (eg. large cutting saw, air abrasive units and microscopes)
  • Responsible for fieldwork equipment management
  • Manages internal and external loans of conservation objects and maintaining the database
  • Prepares and updates risk assessment and COSHH documentation
  • Safety roles: First Aider at work, Fire Evacuation Marshal, Mental Health First Aider
  • Certified Portable Appliance Tester (PAT)
