Profile

Ruth Jackson-Tal received her PhD in Archaeology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2010. She is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology and Near Eastern Studies, in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at the Department of Bible, Archaeology and Near Eastern Studies, in the Ben Gurion University in the Negev, Israel.

Research Interests

  • The analysis of glass finds in the Levant from Achaemenid to Medieval times
  • The analysis of faience, stone and metal finds from the Levant
  • Glass typology, chronology and use in Roman Judaea
  • Glass production and consumption at Apollonia-Arsuf, Israel

Ruth is collaborating with Ian Freestone on the following projects:
