Andrew is co-supervising a PhD on ‘Byzantine and Islamic elements in Italian glass: From the Early Middle Ages to the Renaissance with a special focus on the role of Venice’. He was a board member of the IoA-based Early Glass Technology Research Network and has a number of ongoing research projects with Ian Freestone, including one on the production methods of Roman Cameo glass.
