Matthew Pope contributing to Jersey archaeology and heritage exhibition
30 July 2024
Matthew Pope (UCL Institute of Archaeology and Archaeology South-East) is working with Jersey Heritage on a new exhibition about Jersey's prehistoric past.
This week Matthew Pope visited Jersey Heritage’s brand-new exhibition space to hear about how the new exhibition, which will tell the story of Jersey’s history and archaeology, is taking shape.
Matt has been working with the Jersey Heritage team help develop material for the new exhibition, drawing directly on the 15 years of research on Jersey’s prehistory he has helped to lead.
The commitment Jersey heritage shows to the protection, curation and interpretation of Jersey’s past is exemplary and Matt and colleagues are very proud to continue to play a part in supporting their inspirational work.
Matt gave a Keynote Lecture on his Jersey research at the Current Archaeology Live! 2024 event earlier this year.
