Job Vacancy: Lecturer in Silk Roads Archaeology and Heritage

The UCL Institute of Archaeology currently has a vacancy for a Lecturer in Silk Roads Archaeology and Heritage (Ref.:B03-01605). The deadline for applications is 31 May 2023.
An innovative researcher is sought for this full-time lectureship beginning in December 2023. The post-holder will co-ordinate the MA in Managing Archaeological Sites degree programme, including teaching contribution. They will also co-ordinate and teach on the MA module ARCL0210 Archaeology of the Silk Roads and co-ordinate and teach on the MA module ARCL0153 Archaeological Heritage Management in Asia.
The post-holder will also carry out research with a focus on Silk Roads Archaeology and archaeological heritage management. Applicants shoud have a strong background in the archaeology of the Silk Roads of Asia and archaeological heritage management and experience of international and UK collaborations, and archaeological resource management in Central Asia.
In addition, heritage tourism is crucial in contemporary cultural-creative economies and active research in this subject is sought. The successful candidate should also be able to contribute to research in one or more of the following areas: Silk Roads archaeology, site management, and heritage inventory systems.
