TAG 2019 @UCL-IoA: TrowelBlazers Bursary
13 September 2019
The UCL Institute of Archaeology will organise the 41st annual Theoretical Archaeology Group (TAG) Conference in December 2019 for which TrowelBlazers are offering a bursary to meet the cost of attendance.
This year's TAG conference theme, 'Power, Knowledge and the Past' is intended to be broad and topical, emphasising both current debates about ontologies and ideologies in past societies, and the role of knowledge about the past in contemporary political narratives and all attendees are very welcome.
TrowelBlazers are offering a £200 bursary to help meet the cost of attending TAG@UCL-IoA. The bursary is available to any potential attendee TrowelBlazer who identifies as dis/abled, 1st generation university student, BAME, or who has added costs related to caring responsibilities, etc.
All that is needed to enter is for potential attendees to send their name into TrowelBlazers at firstname.lastname@example.org by 30 September and reference the bursary; explanations or proof of status are not required and the winner will be chosen by random draw.
TrowelBlazers is a celebration of women archaeologists, palaeontologists and geologists who have been doing awesome work for far longer, and in far greater numbers, than most people realise. Keep up to date via the TrowelBlazers blog, Twitter and Facebook.
