A part-time Teaching Fellow (50%) is sought to assist with the development of a curriculum for undergraduate teaching of heritage and museum studies. However, the Teaching fellow will also work closely with Heritage Studies Section staff to support the teaching of core and optional courses to postgraduate students as required. This may include lecturing, designing and running taught practicals, supervising dissertation training and research, marking assignments, organising and leading taught field visits, and assisting in the content and monitoring of placements as required

The successful applicant will have a PhD in archaeology, anthropology, cultural heritage studies, museum studies, or related field, with a specific focus on heritage and/or museums along with teaching experience at undergraduate level. The successful candidate will need to be prepared to respond flexibly to teaching needs across the section, which will likely involve different teaching responsibilities over this period.

Although not essential, it would be an advantage for candidates to have demonstrable experience of producing publications or other research outputs as research-led teaching is a requirement for this role.

The post is available from 1 October 2019 to 31 July 2020 in the first instance.
